Priorities for Timnath’s Future
Timnath is growing quickly. That growth brings opportunity, but only if it is planned carefully, financially responsible, and guided by meaningful community input. My priorities focus on being fiscally responsible, strengthening infrastructure, and making thoughtful decisions that serve both current and future residents.
Fiscal Responsibility & Strong Reserves
Timnath’s financial health matters. Maintaining strong capital reserves protects taxpayers, preserves flexibility during economic uncertainty, and ensures the Town can respond to unexpected needs without sudden tax increases or service cuts.
My focus:
Protecting strong capital reserves
Long-term financial planning and not short-term fixes
Responsible use of taxpayer dollars
Water Planning & Conservation
My focus is on protecting affordability and planning ahead as Timnath continues to grow.
My focus:
Long-term water supply and infrastructure planning
Encouraging conservation and efficient water use
Ensuring growth is planned so it doesn’t drive sharp rate increases
Protecting existing residents from avoidable cost pressures
Responsible Growth & Infrastructure Planning
Planning ahead for roads, facilities, and infrastructure ensures Timnath remains a high-quality place to live as we grow.
My focus:
Aligning development with infrastructure capacity
Planning for long-term capital needs
Making sure growth is coordinated and fiscally responsible
Safe Streets & Quality of Life
Streets should be safe for everyone, including drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, children, and seniors. Investments in safety improve daily life and help Timnath remain a connected, family-friendly community.
My focus:
Safe streets for all forms of transportation, including walking, biking, driving, and accessibility needs
Thoughtful design that prioritizes safety
Planning that supports multimodal and accessibility
Public Safety & Community Services
As Timnath grows, the services residents rely on must keep pace. Public safety and core municipal operations require proactive planning and disciplined budgeting — not reactive decisions.
Timnath provides local police services and partners with regional agencies, including Poudre Fire Authority, for fire and emergency response. Growth must align with service capacity to ensure reliable response and long-term sustainability.
Community services include essential municipal operations such as snow removal, road maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, and public facility planning. These functions depend on thoughtful capital planning and strong reserves to prevent deferred maintenance and future tax pressure.
My focus:
Investing responsibly in police services and regional emergency partnerships
Planning ahead for staffing, facilities, and long-term infrastructure capacity
Maintaining strong reserves to support reliable municipal operations
Transparency & Accountability
Residents deserve clear information about how decisions are made and how costs are shared, especially regarding metro districts and long-term obligations.
My focus:
Transparency in metro district costs, financing structures, and long-term obligations
Continued push for resident-led metro district boards
Community Input & Thoughtful Decision-Making
The best decisions are made with resident involvement. Listening, asking questions, and weighing long-term impacts are essential as Timnath continues to change.
My focus:
Encouraging meaningful community input through ongoing council chats, council meetings, and public emails
Clear communication on major decisions through strategic planning and public work sessions
